1. What is Person Centered Counselling?

Person – Centered Counselling is a humanistic approach that concentrates on the client`s experience of themselves. It is a non – directive approach where you as the client will remain in control. You decide how deep and how much you would like to talk about during our session and you set your own pace. You will not be judged and not be told what would be best for you. You will have the chance to explore and discover it for yourself.

2.How Do I Know I Found the Right Counsellor?

Before we begin with counselling, I will be offering you a 20 minute free consultation and be given you the opportunity to find out whether we would be suitable for each other and comfortable working together. This is of enormous importance as I want to ensure that the relationship between you and myself feels right and can produce a positive outcome

3. How many hours of counselling session will I need to attend?

You are not obliged to enter into a contract that would define the number of hours needed. The number of counselling sessions required depends solely on your needs and can vary anything from 3 to 6 hours and if needed more to open ending. We will be working together for as long as you feel you require counselling and decided to stop.

4. How and where will counselling sessions be taking place?

Sessions will be taking place either over Telephone or via Teams and Google Meet. An invite in the form of a link will be send to you prior our first initial meeting which will also enable you to access any further sessions that will be taking place should you wish to proceed. Should any technical issues occur and be causing you difficulties to access the sessions you can contact me so that the issue can be resolved, or a new link invite can be sent to you right away

5. How frequently will you have to attend counselling sessions?

Counselling sessions normally take place once a week. However, if your circumstance does not allow you to have these sessions regularly, I can also offer you counsellingsessions on a fortnightly basis. This would still enable us to have uninterrupted work, and a positive outcome can still be achieved. It is not recommended to leave or pause the counselling for a long period of time as this can interrupt the flow and cause challenges along the way. The outcome may not be as satisfying or as desired. The importance is to have counselling sessions regularly, but they do not have to be on the same day during each week. Should you have counselling fortnightly and feel that this is not enough you can always switch to weekly which can be arranged straight away.

With this I will have to pass it onto a third party to protect you and others. If I feel you are in immediate danger, I will also have to break that silence and approaching a third party for you own protection. I have a privacy policy in place that will explain to you how I store your personal data and what measurements I have in place to protect your data. Please see PRIVACY POLICY
